My son Kevin wanted to learn guitar. I cautiously explored teachers on Craigslist and came up with a couple possibilities. Dave returned my call promptly, discussed my wants and those of my son and gave me references. Since he held lessons at our house it was a big selling point in not having to haul one kid around and deal with the other kids at the same time. The relationship has been wonderful since day one.  Every lesson we are thankful that Dave is the one that came into our lives. We couldn’t have done better.

Dave is one of the most punctual guys I know. He is ALWAYS at our home at the time we agree on. He drives pretty far to get here and I am amazed that he is consistently so on time…. Maybe he hides down the street at Starbucks until just before the lesson….:-)

Dave makes learning fun. The lessons are contemporary and he plays right along with the kids…not just instructing and watching them. It’s teamwork…a partnership. My son took lessons for several years and then my daughter got interested and now she is his student too. The lessons are completely different and tailored to each kid.

Right now my son Kevin (age 17) has left to be an exchange student in Brazil for six months. Besides taking his skateboard and iPod he also brought his guitar. He has been playing and learning new songs and techniques with his host brother. The foundation Dave gave him, and what started as a fun skill to know, has given him a common bond and helped to break the ice in his new culture.

Dave makes each kid feel unique and is completely focused on them and what they want to learn. In my mind my kids were his only students. I was pleasantly surprised to hear of many others who enjoy his talents of teaching as well. Dave is interested in my kids (and our family) as people as well as students. We are lucky he shares his gift of music and we are fortunate to have him in our lives.
